Does your anger worry you? Do you not trust yourself in certain situations?
Do you break things in temper, or damage property?
Do you feel your life is just one argument after another?
People shy away from you when you make a sudden movement? Or raise your voice?
You have broken the law in a fit of anger?
If you have answered “yes” to any of these or part of, then it is time to look at getting help.
Getting Help
Anger can be helped via many means, programmes, talking therapies, yoga, EFT and hypnotherapy but to name a few and of course you may want to look at a combination to help. Getting help is the key to leading a happier and healthier life.
It’s not as scary as you think reaching out, whoever you approach professionally, will have heard your story before, different versions, but still, they have heard it before and will not be shocked or judgemental. It is important to feel safe and secure with your professional, either in a group, face-to face or online therapy, which ever you choose.
Programmes – look at handling your anger with self- help techniques, exercise or a combine of both and are normally group based.
Talking therapies such as counselling or psychotherapy are normally one to one and look at the root cause and how to change the behaviour.
Hypnotherapy is becoming more popular as an option to change behaviour; again as with the talking therapies, hypnotherapy looks at the root cause, triggers and warning signs of your anger, looking into how to change those negative thoughts, emotions and pathways. Hypnotherapy is normally a quicker solution, as it deals with the subconscious directly.
